Deepwater Rice - the Dubail and Ghatai sites - Tangail District, Bangladesh |
Situated in the Jamuna floodplain, north of the town of Tangail. As with other Jamuna floodplain sites, the flood water could be expected to carry a quantity of silt. Trials and observation areas included a factorial trial, stem borer ecology and root knot nematode evaluations. In 1982 the flood had receded in mid-September but on 23 September was back at 80 cm
